“Moments of Freedom” is a series of hand-printed art prints, built layer by layer with screens prepared separately to land just right. It’s a tricky, satisfying process- nothing like hitting play on digital ;)

This screen print is part of a project I did with Magda Milek, who runs the brilliant Billboard Gallery By The Way. Magda contacted Andrea Zittel about using one of her works from These Things I Know for Sure. To our surprise and joy, Andrea encouraged us to create something of our own. She asked us to root it in Scotland and include the things we know for sure. We explored Arthur’s Seat, took rock imprints, and developed a series of screen prints in my studio. One of them, featuring ‘We perceive ourselves as if we had structure’, is now on display. Visit the billboard in Loanhead and let us know your thoughts!

I do live screen printing events with my mobile printing station - perfect for festivals, launches, and community gatherings. I’ve brought the print magic to events like IberoDocs Film Festival, Edinburgh Art Festival, Radical Book Fair, Sumud and more. If you’d like me to bring it to your venue, just give me a shout!
